A Chinese construction company vowed to build the world’s tallest building, named Sky City, in just 90 days with an astounding height of 2,749 feet, edging out the mega Burj Khalifa, which is currently the world’s tallest building that stands 2,722 feet over Dubai.

Reports said, the Chinese construction company behind the project was behind the schedule, but Broad Sustainable Building insisted that they will deliver its 220-story building within the targeted 90 days goal, rather than in 210 days as rumored in the media.

“Will go on as planned with the completion of five storeys a day.” Broad Group senior VP Juliet Jiang was quoted saying in a report.
The 220-story building once completed will contain a hospital, school, 17 helipads and apartments to house 31,400 people. It will be constructed using 200,000 tonnes of steel, and serviced by 104 high-speed lifts, according to reports.

The foundation work of the 220-story building is expected to start at the end of this month after the Chinese government approves the project, while the planned three month construction period runs from the end of the year to the end of March 2013.
